Shilpa Shetty answers questions. And the Taj Mahal is in!

Filed under: Games People Play — Rajesh @ 9:51 pm

Shilpa Shetty will go down in history as the first Asian to win the Celebrity Big Brother contest – if that’s a good reason for “going down” in history. As she sings “Westward Ho!” to a Hollywood tune, she leaves a post script to all those who are wondering exactly what happened on the show (Hey, several cameras were turned on them!). To a TV channel, she said:
“Yes, I felt at that time Jade’s remarks were racist. True, I spoke to Cleo (another contestant) about it. But I am pragmatic (check this word out) and I realised the remarks weren’t racist. They were made because she was insecure and jealous (Most racist remarks are born to these parents).
No, CBB did not ask me to retract the statement (that Jade’s comments were racist). It was my decision. I wish to thank Asians all over the world and the British who voted and called in support of me. Being on CBB was a great experience. But no, I won’t be on it again.” And this gem: “My honour and integrity are not for sale!” or words to that effect.

The BJP is planning to ask her to join the party, as in political. Hema Malini is making news there, so why not Shilpa?

Remember my request to you to vote for The Taj Mahal? According to New7wonders.com—the website of the organisers of the campaign to shortlist the new seven wonders of the world—votes polled so far place the Taj among the top seven. The New7Wonders Foundation made the announcement yesterday. The new wonders of the world will be announced at an official declaration ceremony in Lisbon, Portugal on July 7.
